Ministries The people in the St. Helena Seventh-day Adventist Church try to stay active, with many ministries running simultaneously, all offered for community participation and enhancement.
Join our teams for service, fellowship, fun and fulfillment! Family Ministries concentrates on supporting and developing better family life within our greater church family and even greater family of God, to which we all belong. Health Ministries Optimum whole health - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual - is of great import to all of us, and the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church take that seriously! Men's Ministries is led by Dan Oliver, a physician of Women's Health. Our Orchestra! Playing each month for church service, if you have an instrument you play, please consider playing with the St. Helena Worship Ensemble. Contact Dan Oliver for more information. Personal Ministries is led by two of our young adults, Rebecca Gates and Charinette Guerrero. Their passion for sharing Christ Jesus is contagious!! Share Your Witness - The Personal Ministry Department invites and encourages all church members to share what God has done for you. If you have an experience to share, as you witness for Christ, email info@shsda.org. Encourage someone else today, it’s God’s way. Photography Club is up and running! Meeting twice monthly at the home of one of our members, this club is free to anyone who wants to learn more about photgraphy and have fun doing it. Next meeting: August. Call John 965-9154, or Aimee 963-7143. Photos of our church family are available! Check 'em out. Prayer plays a large part in our church family's day-to-day living. With it, we know that we are more than conquerors. Without it we know that we will go on only blindly, as did the Israelites when they came to the little city of Ai and were defeated. We have a broad ministries team that prays over every individual request and praise given to us. Join us for intensive prayer time June 29 through July 8 as we participate in Global Rain - Operation World. Vacation Bible School is held annually at the St. Helena SDA Church on Main Street each summer. This year's VBS was Gadget's Garage, with over 75 kids and their families joining together each evening for fun and games, and precious stories of God's loving care for us. Women's Ministries consists of women of all ages who are interested in supporting each other with fellowship, encouragement, and other ways. A variety of workshops and events will be conducted throughout the year. If you would like to be on a mailing list for events, please email Jenny Oliver with your contact information. Who works at the church? Over 400 volunteer positions are filled at the church each year.
