Father/Son Campout
Late Sabbath afternoon, Father's Day Eve 2009, eight dads and their twelve sons, ages 14-21, hauled sleeping bags and vege-links to a campfire pit at a local home in Angwin. Their purpose was multi-faceted; through discussion and sharing, the fathers hoped to impart knowledge and purpose to their sons, with a focus on sexuality and purity.
The group was led by Men's Ministries Director Dan Oliver, a women's health physician at Kaiser Permanente in Napa.
The 2010 Men's Group has been meeting each Sunday evening from 7-8:00 PM in the Fireside Room. Led by Dan Oliver and Dave Wallace, the gatherings have been a time of prayer and reflection. At the March 2010 church board meeting, approval to purchase a Men's Ministries curriculum was given. Stay tuned!
